Jones made it to the top of the college's top hurdlers when she entered. Jones was the winner of the 100 meter hurdles at the 2002 NCAA Track & Field Championship. Additionally, she was on the team that was 2nd in the 100 meters relay. Jones is a champion of indoor hurdles at NCAA Championships both in 2003 and 2004. The track career after she completed her studies at the end of 2005 Jones was able to begin training for the track. In the same year, she won the Torino Memorial event, and in 2206, she won the Ostrava track event as in addition to the Heusden track event.
